Joseph Ghabi once said: “Your life will begin changing the moment you decide that you want it to.”

I’ve found that the same is true for growing your business. If you want to see different results than what you’ve seen in the past, you must make a heartfelt decision to do things differently. You need to start with making over your mindset.

Mental blocks can hold you back and keep you from achieving your goals. When you sit down to work on your business are you clear and focused, or is your mind cluttered with ideas, client requests, overdue items and more?

The FIRST step to achieving your goals is de-cluttering and organizing your mind. When you do this, you’ll be able to clearly define what you want to accomplish and start taking the necessary action to achieve your goals.

If a never ending to do list, too many ideas for marketing your business, missed opportunities and a constant state of overwhelm are running your life, it’s time to clear out the old and get organized. When you do this, you’ll find that it’s easier to focus on marketing your business consistently and effectively.

Here are seven simple practices that you can use NOW to do just that:

• Document EVERYTHING! – When your brain is busy trying to keep track of the many details that are floating around your head, you begin to feel stressed out and overwhelmed. Write down everything! For years, my husband told me to do this but I ignored him – until I finally started to see that there was too much for me to manage on my own. Once I started taking his advice, EVERYTHING changed. The same can be true for you. Get a notebook if you prefer the pen and paper type of note taking, or use Evernote.com. No matter how you do it – start documenting every aspect of how you run and market your business. Getting it all out of your head and onto paper is going to relieve a tremendous amount of stress.

• Create a login file – In this day and age, the number of accounts you need to log into on a daily basis seems to be growing each week! Keeping track of all that information in your head is a surefire recipe for disaster. Have ONE spreadsheet where you keep all of this information. Be sure to write down everything – your blog dashboard, social media profiles, email marketing system, etc. You’ll be able to save time looking for what you need.

• Use a notebook to capture all of your ideas – Apart from your procedures and to do list notebook, you should create a space where you can write down all of your new ideas. Entrepreneurs have no problem generating great new ideas – but it’s far too easy to forget about them or allow them to distract you from your profit plan. Keeping your ideas in one spot will make it easy for you to refer back to those ideas often so you can actually implement them. Imagine how you can increase your profits when you start taking action on your great ideas?

• Use just ONE to-do list – If your daily task list is in 7 different spots, you’re going to feel distracted and scattered. Keep everything in one list – there are countless options, so just choose one and stick with it! Once you’ve picked the best option for you, commit to using this one system for your tasks and projects. Using a web based system will make it easy to delegate tasks to other people.

• Plan ahead with your content – Many entrepreneurs feel stuck with marketing because they aren’t sure what to do. Just start with one month – plan out what you’ll be doing in the upcoming month. Pick a date to publish each piece, plan out the theme for your content and jot down some ideas for your newsletter, blog posts or social media updates. When you sit down to write your marketing materials you’ll crank out your content quickly and easily.

• Create a Master Schedule Template – If you find yourself looking back at the end of the week and wondering where the time went, you need to implement this right away! Using a weekly calendar, you can designate blocks of time where you’ll work on certain aspects of your business. For example, reserve Monday from 9 am to 12 pm for marketing, 1 pm to 3 pm for writing, 3 pm to 5 pm for email management and so on. Start by inserting recurring tasks (like client meetings, marketing times, meeting with your coach, etc) and then designate other blocks of time for your other activities. Don’t leave your essential tasks to chance! Make a plan for when you’ll do them and you’ll boost your productivity.

• Set clear boundaries – Once you get this support system into place, you need to follow through and stick with it! Commit to yourself that you’ll honor what you’ve set out to do. Turn off email notifications and other distractions. Make sure that friends and family know when you’re available to chat. You can also create accountability for yourself by working with a coach or mentor to help you.

Marketing and growing your business isn’t impossible – but it does require planning and consistency to work. When you de-clutter your mind and organize your materials, you will be able to see the results you’ve been looking for and fully enjoy a successful business.

Which tip will you implement first?

Known as “The Smart Simple Marketing Coach,” the tech-savvy Sydni uses a results-focused, “how to” approach in implementing simple, customized strategies so service professionals create profitable businesses in which they enjoy the lifestyle they choose.

A good hosting provider recognizes that our success depends on your success so, as part of their core corporate culture, they provide all the tools you need to build, launch and manage a successful web-based business – including the information you need to do it RIGHT!

So welcome to the second in a series of “how-to” articles on topics related to web success. Well keep it simple, eliminate the techno-babble and provide, not only the tools, but the know-how to achieve web success.

Your success is our success.

#1 Choosing A Domain Name

Your domain name is your on-line address. Your full address will be http//www.your domainnamehere.com or.org or.edu or some other extension.

You choose your domain name. In many cases, it’ll be the first business decision you’ll make so weigh the choice of domain name carefully. A good domain works for you. A bad one can doom your on-line venture the day you register it.

Some dos and don’ts about selection.

1. First, it costs a few bucks to register a domain name.

Your domain and information about ownership of that domain will be dutifully registered. Your ownership information will appear in a directory called Whois, an index of domain names that is public information. Anybody can find out who or what business entity owns a given domain.

Consider this when you enter personal information while filling out your registration. You may want to use a PO box instead of your street address or register the name in your company name rather than your personal name.

In any case, it costs a few bucks to register a domain name and the name has to be re-re-registered annually.

Some web hosts register your name free for the first year and send reminders that your domain is up for re-registration so pay the fee. Either way, (1) the few bucks it costs to register a domain makes the web available to any one with a couple of dollars and (2) don’t forget to re-register your domain name each year. It’s possible (easy) for domain hounds to snag a domain that has expired and take over your client base simply because you forgot to re-register. So, re-register.

2. All the good domain names have been taken.

If you mean names like lawyers.com, cars.com and firstaidsupplies.com, yes, someone owns the rights to those domains – domains that was probably registered 15 years ago before most businesses even knew what a domain was.

A lot of site owners have turned to made up words for domains. Examples? ning.com, zoho.com and yuuguu.com. They’re catchy, though, and that makes them easy to remember.

If you’re opening an on-line business (that’s why you’re reading this) use your imagination. Your name should be keyword dense, even if it’s long. Your name should tell people and search engine bots something about your websites so if “amazing chocolate delights.com” is taken try “really amazing chocolate delights.com” or “incrediblechocolatedelights.com.” Keep trying until you find a domain name that says something about your business.

If you’re service provider – a local insurance agency or certified financial planner, choosing a name is simpler. Use your name and title: “DrJamesMillerMD.com,” “PeterHughsCFA.com” and so on. This is how people in your service will know you – Dr. James Miller or Peter Hughs. These are good, solid domain names – especially for businesses and individuals seeking local business using localized search.

3. Skip the punctuation.

You’re determined to have “amazingchocoloatedelights.com” as your domain name but it’s taken. So, clever you, try “amazing-chocolate-delights.com” with hyphens in between each word in the domain name. Don’t do it.

Search engine users often forget these punctuation symbols and you end up sending visitors to amazingchocolcatedelights.com (without the hyphens) and losing a sale. Instead, come up with a domain name that’s easy to remember and doesn’t use any punctuation.

4. Choose the right extension.

You can be a.com, where com stands for company or commercial (depending on who you listen to). You can be a.org – usually indicating a not-for-profit or an advocacy group, though more and more professional service providers are using the.org extension.

If you teach something, or sell materials to institutes of higher learning, go with a .edu extension – indicating an education or educational site. This is especially important for sites that provide continuing education units (CEUs) for professionals that require on-going education and training.

For example, private detectives in some states must accumulate a certain number of CEUs each year to keep their licenses active. So, a web site that offers on-line courses (CEUs) for private detectives would be better off with an edu extension to clarify exactly what the site is about – education, as in “privatedetectiveeducation.edu.” Now that’s a domain name that’s keyword rich.

5. Consider registering similar domain names.

If you come up with a really good domain name, some people may try to piggyback on your cool domain name by registering similar domain names. You can protect yourself from this type of activity by registering similar sounding domain names and simply parking them on your server. No charge.

6. Don’t be cute.

Amazon.com is a well recognized name. Interesting that the name says nothing about what Amazon is or does but it sure is easy to remember.

Check it out. Domain goofs register misspelled variations of Amazon to collect visitors who weren’t… ummm… paying attention. So they register Amozon, Amozan and variations hoping to get search engine users who enter misspelled domain names.

You’re wasting your time and your money. Visitors will bounce once they realize they aren’t on Amazon and you don’t build a whole lot of trust and good will by taking advantage of the mistakes of search engine users.

7. Take your time.

Your domain name is that important.

If you need some help, call your web host for some advice. Any good web host, like Green Host It will help you through the registration process. In fact, we might even recommend the name you ultimately choose.

Think before you choose because once you choose your name, you’ll live with it for a long time. You’ll build your business around it. It’ll appear on business cards, invoices, TV ads – anything and everything to do with that business.

So don’t rush because you THINK you have a good idea. Bounce your choice off of friends and family. Do they “get it?” Do they understand why you chose it? If so, it’s probably a good choice for a domain name. If they don’t, keep working on it.

Before you do anything – before you develop a business model, a revenue model, a purpose of the site, before you establish your company’s core values and develop a tag line for the company, think long and hard about the best name for your new W3 enterprise.

Choosing the right name can mean the difference between world wide web success and another web failure.

The top web hosts recognize that their success depends on your success so, as part of their core corporate culture, a good host provides all the tools you need to build, launch and manage a successful web-based business – including the information you need to do it RIGHT!

So welcome to the first in a series of “how-to” articles on topics related to web success. We’ll keep it simple, eliminate the techno-babble and provide, not only the tools, but the know-how to achieve web success.

Your success is our success.

Where to start? Well, if you don’t know anything about the world wide web, that’s the place to start. How does it work? How do you connect to it? How do search engines, like Google, rank your site on search engine results pages (SERPs), for instance?

This is your marketplace and it’s “raw-meat” fierce online. Check out a few stats:

There are 225,000,000 web sites currently online so if you’re just dipping in your toe, a lot of people have a good head start on you. Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon.com, has a BIG head start on you – especially of you’re planning to build an on-line book store.

So, before you shell out any dough on a web host – the company that stores your web site and provides access to the web so visitors can find you – before you start your keyword analysis, or you start designing you web site, do some research to determine just what you’re getting yourself in to.

6,000 new web-based businesses launch every day. You better get moving. The web-based marketplace is the fastest growing, most competitive marketplace in the history of humankind. Each day, 6,000 new competitors for web surfers’ attention go live, making your job of reaching success that more difficult.

94% of all web sites fail within 12 months. Now, if that ain’t a cold slap in the face, NOTHING is. The deck is stacked against you. The odds are not in your favor. But…

…there are millions of people earning good money on the W3, either as full-time business owners, or to supplement their day job paychecks. Not only can it be done, it’s done every day by people who are no smarter or business savvy than you are. So, yes, the odds ARE stacked against you but, if you do it right (we’re going to show you how to do it right) you can make money of the web.

Special note: There are like a million “get-rich-quick” web schemes out there. You pay $149 and some guy you don’t know will tell you how to make a million on the web. Avoid these jokers like the Ebola virus. IF they could make a million bucks on the web, they would tell you how? Why add another piranha to the tank?

You have 6.4 seconds to keep a visitor on site. That’s a scary stat. It doesn’t give you much time to grab a visitor’s attention and it gives you no time to get across your corporate culture, mission statement, bios of company officials and so on.

There’s an old saying in advertising: the headline is half the job. Think about that when you start to plan the look and feel of your web site.

And how do you do that? Here are five tips to start you on your digital journey to web success – IF you do it right. (The good news is you can build and run a web site for a whole year for less than a hundred bucks so you can’t lose too much. You lose more than that in the car seat each year.)

1. What is the purpose of your web site?

Basically, there are three reasons people put up a web site, all of them involve selling, or at least persuading:

- to sell products (everything from stoves to pukka shell necklaces)

- to sell services (accounting, medical, house painting – we DO something for you)

- to sell a message: advocacy groups, not-for-profits, political candidates – all trying to sell you on their “message” to vote, donate, support, volunteer or contribute in some other way – even by spreading the message by word of mouth.

So question number one: Why are you building a web site? Everything else develops based on your answer to this simply complex question – and it is both simple and complex so give it some thought.

2. What is your target demographic?

These are the people you’re trying to reach: retirees, nurses, pregnant moms, home schoolers, building contractors, Republicans – define your broad demographic.

Then refine your broad demographic by identifying the “sweet spot” of that broader demographic. The best way to do this? Write a brief description of the perfect buyer of your goods, services or messages.

That’s the sweet spot of your market. And that’s the group of prospects your web site targets in everything from look and feel to the language you use in your site text. If you’re trying to hit teens, a dull, beige site motif will send site visitors bouncing. A lime green, edgy, screechy looking site will grab the attention of that sweet spot and pull them in.

3. Perform a market analysis.

This is so easy to do thanks to search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing.

Simply type into the search engine’s search box words that describe your business to see who or what pops up. If you’re projected business hits a broad demographic you’ll quickly discover that you have millions of competitors, all of whom have a good head start on you as you sit at the kitchen table trying to decide if this is a good idea or not.

Also, type in some keywords into Google’s search box. Keywords are the common words search engine users enter when they use search engines to find whatever it is they’re looking for. Use your intuition to enter in keywords you think your sweet spot buyers would enter and, again, see who or what pops up.

That’s your competition. Ready to go head to head with these e-trepreneurs? You better be.

4. Develop your unique positioning statement.

A unique positioning statement (UPS) is sometimes called a unique selling position (USP), but no matter what you call it, you better develop one early in your planning.

Visit competitor sites to analyze what you think they’re doing wrong and what they’re doing right. Start on the first SERP since search engines sort SERPs using complex mathematical algorithms to assess what each site is about and how relevant that site is to the search engine user’s query (keywords entered).

Make a list of the things that will distinguish YOUR web site from the 560,000 other web sites selling the same product or service. Develop a list of at least five points that will make your web site unique. For example, your minimal market research shows that no other competitors offers free shipping so guess what?

SHIPPING IS ALWAYS FREE AT XYZ SPORTING GOODS appears at the top of every page of your web site to distinguish you from the competition that makes a few points on margin by charging for shipping and handling.

Or how about:

WE GUARANTEE EVERYTHING WE SELL

NO QUESTIONS ASKED!

If the competition doesn’t offer a hassle-free return policy and you do, who are site visitor’s going to buy from?

YOU!

5. Create a business plan.

And write it down.

It doesn’t have to be fancy. It doesn’t require a bunch of legal boilerplate. But it should answer the most basic questions any business owner asks:

Where will I get the money to build the business?

How much money will I need to launch my business?

Where will I get the money to market the business? (in a highly-competitive marketplace)

What will I need to launch my business?

How will the business function day-to-day? (You working it full time? Using a drop shipper? Your kid?)

How much money can you afford to lose? The prudent business owner always calculates the worst case scenario, no matter how gruesome.

What are my short- and long- objectives? Short-term goals include things like launch date, 6-month earnings, 12-month earnings and so on. Long-term objectives include the means you’ll employ to grow your business, i.e. expand service offerings in year two, add a brick-and mortar outlet in year 4 and so on.

How you gonna make this bird fly?

When developing your business plan be sure to include the all important question: How will I make money? There are 10 ways to make money from a web site. With a little study you can monetize your web site to develop several revenue streams, each contributing a little to your bottom line. This way, no one source of business revenue carries the entire weight of business success.

So, start thinking before you do anything else. Who? What? Where? When? How? Why? Ask each of these questions. Conduct some market research. Visit some web sites that provide impartial, utile information so you know what you’re getting in to.

In other words, do your homework before you spend a single penny. Day dream – a lot. Ask yourself a bunch of “what if” questions. Talk to friends and family. Talk to business owners who can help you with co-op marketing or wholesale pricing.

Too many web site owners believe the hype. They think the world wide web is the fast track to fast wealth. It’s not. But it is the last, best place for anyone with the desire to own a business, to build a company without taking out a second mortgage. 6,000 people do it every day.

Just take your time. Don’t deny the possibility of failure. In fact, add that to your list of things to think about. Then develop a plan that’s bullet-proof – one that addresses all of the possible causes of web business failure.

YouTube is now one of the world’s best loved websites. There are tens of billions of YouTube videos viewed each month. This means that for Internet marketers it’s a goldmine of opportunity. With videos so easy to make these days, you’d be crazy not to take advantage of it.

Everyone does content marketing, but video marketing offers something more. One of the main advantages is that it gives your audience another format through which to absorb information. Some people aren’t ‘readers.’ Instead, they can get your message by watching a video.

It’s also great for marketers because it’s so easy to make high quality videos. You don’t need a production team or a budget. Your videos don’t have to be anything fancy at all. You can use a software program to record your screen and voice, or you can just sit in front of your computer’s camera and talk straight to your viewers.

Getting Seen on YouTube

With so many millions of videos for viewers to choose from, the real challenge is getting your videos seen. There are lots of different ways to do this. First of all, your videos should be keyword optimized. They’ll come up in Google and YouTube searches that way. Optimize your title and description, and be sure to include relevant tags. Since Google is now experimenting with voice recognition software to index videos, make sure your video uses your keyword as well.

Your title and description need to sell the video as well. Just like titles for your blog posts or distribution articles, make sure that the title is attention-grabbing. Use your description to tell the viewer what they’ll get out of the video and how it will help to solve their problems.

When you produce a new video, tell everybody about it. Update your Facebook page with a link to the video and tweet it to all of your followers. Put the word out to your list and anybody else you think might want to watch it.

YouTube Is a Social Network

One of the things people often forget is that YouTube is a social networking site. That’s why you get a profile. You can become friends with other YouTube users. Most marketers fail to take advantage of the site’s social potential. Make friends on YouTube and build up a network of people in your niche who have similar audiences to yours.

Your Video Content

Finally, what’s going to help you more than the exposure or traffic you get is the content of your videos. Make them not only helpful and valuable to your viewers, but also as entertaining as possible. This will make them want to see what else you have to offer and share your videos with all of their friends.

By Veda Horner

Finding the right targeted keywords for Search Engine Optimization will greatly improve the chance of your website being found by the people who are looking to buy your product or service. Why is SEO an excellent marketing strategy because it is a low to no cost long term content strategy It may take 3 to 6 months to get your site optimized but the rewards can be very profitable in the long run.Your website has the potential to generate free targeted traffic for your business for years to come.

What is Search Engine Optimization? It is the process of improving the visibility of a website by search engines via the ‘natural’ or unpaid organic search results. SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for. Your goal is to get your website ranked on the first page of Google or any other search engine and in the top 5 or 6 spots on the left side of the page The higher on the page you are the more frequently your site appears in the search results list and the more visitors you will receive from the search engines. It has been proven that when people read a page they read from left to right across the page.

So why are targeted keywords so important in SEO?

There are 4 types of people searching on the internet:

The Information Seeker, looking for general information on a solution, but not ready to buy yet.

The Researcher, already been looking for the right choice, but not ready to buy yet.

The Buyer, may or may not already be involved in a business and is looking for answers.

Hot, this person already knows what they want and are looking to buy or join, they have the exact name of what they want.

As you can see there are many different reasons as to why people are searching on the internet. It is up to you to find the right keywords so the buyer or that hot prospect can find you. This is why it is important to know your niche and the keywords that best describe it. You need to know how people are searching for your product, service or the information that you are offering. You need to think like your perfect prospect. What would they type in the search bar?

The best keywords should be at least 2-5 words long called ‘long tail’ keywords. The majority of the people searching on the internet type in more than one word to find what they are looking for. If your niche is ‘Make Money’ than a keyword you may want to target is ‘how to make money online’ or any variation of it. But first you need to research the keywords you want to target as to searches, relevance and competition. Google AdWords Keyword Tool is a free resource that will give you a list of keywords related to you original query, search volume, competition and trends. Wordtracker, the free version will also give you a list of related keywords and phrases and search volume. Those are just two of the many free and paid keyword tools available.

The last point to consider in optimizing the content on your website with your targeted keywords. Below is a list of the places to add your keyword:

in the title of your page

throughout the copy but no more than 3 to 5%

header tags H1, H2 H3

meta tags

image file paths and in the images ‘alt text’

URL

SEO Pressor is a WordPress plugin you can buy if want help with on page SEO.

Remember keyword relevance is more important than keyword density (avoid keyword stuffing). Search engine optimization is a low cost long term content marketing strategy. Find the right keywords and you can generate highly targeted traffic to your SEO website.

By Andrew Mollison

To get sales of your product or subscribers to your service or newsletter, then you need to get traffic, as without traffic you will not get either.

Yet generating website traffic is one of the hardest things to do, sure you may get lucky and invent the next Facebook or Twitter, but for the vast amount of websites then getting traffic is not easy. Indeed a lot of people who build their own websites struggle just to get their sites indexed in Google.

If generating traffic was easy we would all be Internet millionaires!

So if you have a website, or want to start one then how do you go about getting traffic?

Well there are two ways in which to do this, buy it or carry out Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in order to gain free traffic.

Buying traffic can bring goods results if your site converts its sales well, but can cost you dearly if it does not. There are various forms of what we can class as “Paid” traffic, from buying banner ad space on other sites through to using Pay Per Click (PPC) ads. Depending on how much you are prepared to spend then using paid traffic can bring in lots of traffic fast, but it is only the PPC traffic that is likely to be targeted and result in sales. Avoid buying in offers of 10,000 visitors for $20 etc. as you have no idea of where these visitors are being generated from, and you may find that major search engines actually mark your site down as a result of this traffic.

SEO is the best way to generate large volumes of free, targeted traffic that will keep coming to your website month after month, long after your PPC campaigns have ended.

SEO takes a lot of skill due to the large number of factors involved in relation to your websites on page and off page optimisation, and in addition the search engines are always changing their ranking algorithms, which means the factors involved in SEO are also ever-changing.

If you have built your own website then there is quite a bit you can carry out yourself, however if you are considering getting a website built by a web development company then it is worth looking at what SEO services they offer in order to help you generate long-term free traffic. A good web design company may not offer the Search Engine Optimisation services that a web development company does.

The first may help you just design your site, whilst the latter designs it and then helps generate traffic to it, and traffic is key to making sales.

Generating off page traffic can involve a very wide variety of activities from blog posting, posting on related forums, article promotion, press releases, ezine articles, and newsletters to name but a few.

Bad traffic generation methods to be avoided are banner exchanges – you have no idea where your banner is being displayed, link farms, bulk traffic purchases, and buying in poor quality back links, all of which can negatively affect your site’s popularity.

So consider these factors carefully when choosing how to generate traffic to your site, and ideally consult a web development expert in traffic generation and SEO.

TME Solutions provide Web Design in Kent, and aid clients with various methods of generating website traffic throughout the site launch and development process.

Are You Willing to Improvise to Achieve Results You Want?

By Vladan Nikolic

Leaders are open-minded, they are willing to improvise and excessively leverage on successes achieved by others.

Leaders are calculated challenge seekers. They know that it could be lonely at the top. Their willingness to do whatever it takes to get there is not possible without constantly reinventing themselves. Their mind is curious and open to new opportunities and ideas. One of the certainties in life and business is constant change and good leaders accept this fact and are prepared to it. They find the inspiration and ideas from their own experiences but also from competitor’s practices and other people’s success stories. Everything starts with an idea in someone’s mind, but sacrifices and efforts have to be made to make it vivid and prosperous. Actions must follow as nothing moves in life and business without it. Leaders are always willing to improvise if and when everything else fails. They test, measure and perform different analysis and applications on the same problem in order to find better solutions. They know when to seek help and when all known and possible avenues have been explored. Knowing their own limitations serves as a breakthrough point where leaders borrow on strengths and capabilities of others to make their vision possible. Someone might say that there is a great deal of luck involved in every success story out there. The truth is that there is always more about preparedness and willingness to it than a mere hoping and wishful thinking. Action drives willingness, procrastination breaks good intentions. Being prepared and taking massive focused actions ensure great results. Do your research thoroughly and find out what tasks to delegate, where are the bigger opportunities, what is missing that if provided could propel even further the success that you, your employees and subordinates have ever dreamed about.

Leaders are results oriented. They build their teams on strengths, not on improving minor weaknesses.

Having in mind the best interest for their businesses, leaders constantly improve on how they do things, how they conduct their business, how they encourage innovation and so on. They understand that the only thing certain and inevitable in life and business is change so they adopt and seek out opportunities to expand. The leadership mastery in getting results reside in bringing out and leveraging on other people skills and knowledge, creating complementary teams of high performers and getting their shares for every project and objective co-created to get desired results. On the other hand, when stakes are high, people feel tense and seldom reason in a good possible option. They overreact and seek validations to support their basic premises. In addition, it is always easier to find weaknesses in others than to acknowledge their capabilities. It is always easier to justify than to empower, to punish than to reward. Avoiding this trap is mandatory. When you build your case around effective collaboration and communication, where there are no places for unaddressed issues to be left hidden – you build trust and remove obstacles in team development process. No back-door politics, no hidden agendas! Face your problems with the honest approach to find opportunities in every obstacle you may find. Ask yourself and your team:

Is there an opportunity here for a greater success?

What is the best use of our time, skills and energy?

What results do we want here? Are we all on the same page?

Are we committed to the project?

What is missing?

What are the next steps?

Running an internet business requires good business practices. Learning to stay abreast of changes and to innovate is a key to your success. Let me know what you think about this article.

Innovate and Be Competitive Or Disappear!

By Vladan Nikolic

All the great inventions of humanity, all that exist today that people created and made possible will at one point become obsolete and will be replaced by newer and quality improved products and services.

We replace physical things – old equipment, old softwares, old manuals, old procedures in the same way as we replace our old beliefs, old habits, and old way of doing things – our old way of being.

The way to higher self is burning and painful but challenging and rewarding at the same time. We have a tendency to trade-off and throw away, to destroy and unlearn our inefficiencies, inadequacies, failures for something of a higher value, newer and more effective. Our desire in other words is something that will serve and inspire us on the way to excellence; something that will increase our competitiveness and bring the highest return on investment. We should abandon everything else that does not produce results.

Similarly, as live ever-changing units, businesses are influenced and determined by markets in which they run, demands they intend to satisfy and serve, supplies and inputs they consume and passionate people who make them successful and grow.

The law of incremental improvement is telling us that in order to be competitive in years to come, we have to reexamine, redefine, improve and reinvent our business models, our people, and our practices on a regular and continuous basis. Unfortunately, this alone will be insufficient in days to come. The entrepreneurs, CEOs, business owners, and managers will face tough reality and immerse pressure while attempting to drive their units and do numbers they set for themselves. Things will get even harder with the innovations, outsourcing, new competitors, and changes in demands, market fluctuations and reactions. Shifts in customers’ experiences, preferences and market demands will be impossible to satisfy by simply following the pack. Shifts will happen overnight and only the most prepared will be able to absorb it. Only those brave enough to stretch beyond their comfort zone will prevail.

Is there a solution?

A business can be changed as a whole on every level of its existence. The power of small wins that work as catalysts of change and then grow in numbers and intensity can make a huge impact on every organisation. Process of reinvention today is organisation wide process. Key personnel in every modern and competitive organisation make constant improvements to practices and expect at the same time where and when market shifts are likely to happen, what impact will that have on the overall operations, and what will our business look if this happens.

They have to predict the future and there is no better way than to create the Exclusive one that fits perfectly into our goals, strategies, and models. Create your own future, perfect in all means according to your own measures. No matter how futuristic, innovative and unacceptable it might be today.

Final thoughts

Questions for you as leaders of tomorrow

What are you doing today to put you and your business in the front seat once the opportunity arises? What strategies you anticipate to be clear winners in the future?

How your products and services, facing the reality of being obsolete, stick to your goals & objectives? What are you doing to improve them or reinvent them?

At what level is your game today? Are you playing it and dream big enough?

Are you merely improving your business & operations or thinking and bringing into existence radical changes that will change both, the game you play and the field where you play, forever?

Predict, plan, design and create your future carefully. You will have the bright one if you do or you will not have one at all!
